I am a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at the Signal Theory and Communications Department of the University of Alcalá (Spain). Besides, I have also been a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Computer Sciences of the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom) and at the AYRNA research group of the University of Córdoba (Spain). Previously, I was an Associate Professor at the University of Córdoba. My current research interests include a wide variety of topics, among them, machine learning and time series data mining. More specifically, preprocessing, clustering, prediction, regression, and ordinal and nominal classification. On the other hand, I have been involved in numerous scientific projects, which denote the interdisciplinarity of the area to which I am dedicated, among others, renewable energies, detection of atmospheric events and health-based problems (COVID19, HIV-HCV and Liver Transplantation).
I am PhD in Artificial Intelligence by the University of Cordoba in 2021 (see dissertation), MEng in Artificial Intelligence Research by the Menendez Pelayo International University in 2017 and BSc in Computer Engineering by the University of Cordoba in 2016. Check my main publications and teaching to learn more about them.
Most of my spare time is dedicated to volunteering, mainly to my Scout Group (I am a leisure time monitor for teenagers between 14 and 17 years old). I also enjoy travelling, being surrounded by nature and doing sport, which keeps me feeling energetic and alive.
